Harvest rituals: Bordeaux
Like a corps de ballet, the harvesters move with precision along the rows -- bending, turning and tipping their baskets into large collection bins. There is an air of anticipation, for each harvest is different. Have the grapes reached the perfect degree of ripeness? Is the yield per plant limited? Do they have too much sugar? It is said that the vines' struggle to survive is what produces truly great wine.
